In all of my excitement for a new book releasing yesterday (Star Realms: Rescue Run if you haven’t heard of it) I was remiss in writing a blog about the release! This doesn’t mean I was busy. You can read all about it on my facebook, twitter, and all over the web. Here’s the book desciption:
Since being court-martialed by the Star Empire, smuggler and thief Joan Shengtu has done what she needed to do in order to survive—gaining a reputation along the way. When a new client’s mission goes sideways, Joan finds herself caught in the middle of dueling gambits between the Star Empire and the Trade Federation. Recruited to perform the heist of a lifetime, the fate of the Star Empire rests in her hands.
On the opposite side of the galaxy, Regency BioTech manager Dario Anazao sees an unsustainable situation brewing that promises a full-scale revolution. The megacorporations of the Trade Federation have kept the population in horrible working conditions, violating their human rights. With no one else to help, Dario must take it upon himself to rescue the workers of Mars.
Can two heroes from warring factions come together to make a difference in the galaxy?
Star Realms: Rescue Run is the first novelization of the critically acclaimed Star Realms spaceship combat deckbuilding game. You can check out the game here: http://www.starrealms.com.
It’s available here: http://bit.ly/starrealmsnovel for the kindle edition, and http://amzn.to/2gcZobS for the physical edition. Amazon is having issues merging the two into one listing, so they are different links for now.
There’s been great support from the Star Realms and gaming community, for which I thank all of you! I appreciate all the messages of support and enjoyment of the book so far as well. Shout out to the Facebook group especially!
I’ve mentioned that I’ll be at White Wizard Game Fair on Friday, November 18th and Saturday November 19th in Boston, MA to sign books and play Star Realms. If you’re in the area, do come on down!
And other than that you can read a couple guest post blogs by me:
Hugo Award Winner Mary Robinette Kowal’s blog, where I talk of theme in Star Realms: http://maryrobinettekowal.com/journal/favorite-bit-jon-del-arroz-talks-star-realms-rescue-run/
Hugo Nominated Editor Jennifer Brozek’s blog, where I talk about creating my singing artificial intelligence and what it means to me: http://www.jenniferbrozek.com/blog/post/Tell-Me-Jon-Del-Arroz.aspx
Of which I’m sure there will be more to come! For now, enjoy Rescue Run and please don’t forget to leave reviews on Amazon! Even if you’ve only read a bit of the book so far, the reviews are used in their algorithms for cross promotion of products and are extremely important for promoting. Thank you!
