I’ve seen far too many of these instances in the last couple of years, proclaiming a great alternative to Twitter and Facebook, going to revolutionize everything.
They come up too fast, they’re not ready for prime time, and there’s always a major issue with the platform.
Parler seems to have a few issues with it: 1. you have to enter a phone number to get an account, huge data information which is probably all provided to the feds since it’s all conservatives going on there, 2. it seems to be a conservative quarantine process where it’s just getting several right wing personalities to head over there and not get any engagement with the average person, 3. They’re already banning and suspending people over trivial things — I’ve seen an instance where someone got suspended for sending questions about the platform to its CEO.
It just seems like another waste of time without any real possibility for gaining momentum for the blog or books, another place to have to remember to post for no reason.
Besides, I’ve already got a great place where I can hang out and have dialogue with like-minded people that’s a great environment, small enough to where it’s much more personal, and controlled by someone who I imminently trust. It’s called Social Galactic, and I’ve had a great time on there with not even one issue since its inception.

Social Galactic is the best!
I’ve even weaseled a Gold Membership.

SocialGalactic is awesome, especially the “clean speech” policy it has…and this is coming from someone who on Twitter would swear like a sailor.
