No doubt a lot of you have heard rumblings about the lawsuits against Patreon, their very odd responses and complete doubling down when they clearly violated California consumer protection laws.
It’s all real. I know the details of it, and they’re in worse shape as a company than you might think they are.
For small creators– I honestly recommend getting a backup from another site. I have a backup myself on Subscribe Star which I’m not using right now, but I’m well aware of how bad this could get for Patreon and you’ll want to be prepared if you have a decent revenue stream on the site.
