I won’t bore you with the details, but I’ve really figured out Amazon ads. It’s been a long process, takes a ton of time to get going properly (and resources to figure it out), but I’ve been able to steadily increase book sales across the board to where everything is almost self-sustaining without putting out new releases.
Don’t worry, there’s still going to be new releases and I don’t intend on slowing down (even though it’s been a bit of a rough month on the productivity front because of outside reasons, which I also won’t get into), but this means there’s methods to growing the book business beyond simply “being a personality on youtube” which is what a lot of the guys in our circles have said is the ONLY way as of late.
I think that culture of celebrity-chasing has really harmed our movement and detracted it from its original mission of creating better content with stories that matter, the stuff the mainstream industry won’t do.
There’s another way. It’s a grind, but it can be done. Keep the faith!
