Conservative, Inc. Loves To Complain

November 24, 2020 by Jon Del Arroz Leave a Comment

Every few days I see a copule of conservative blue checks, “gosh golly, we need to address the culture! Why are there no conservative artists?”

Conservatives talk about 'taking power back' from the left without realizing they have the power in themselves & need to stop *giving it away.*

The left transfers cultural creation into political gain. The right needs its own cultural power bases in order to fight back & win.

Here’s the latest.

Every time, someone tags me on the post as “hey Jon Del Arroz is creating culture.” I lay out that I’ve attempted to write about culture for the Federalist, they’re uninterested in anything but “OMG this actor is banned” articles because they’re clickbait. I’ve reached out to Newsmax, the Daily Wire, others, and it’s all the same — crickets.

None of the conservative organizations with reach actually want to push culture. They don’t care. They’re not willing to sacrifice a few clicks short term to try to get an engine going long term like the left has with NPR, the NYT, etc. They all have culture columns, all promote culture in lockstep for their corporate publishing, and we’re left having to do everything on our own.

It’ll never change until we throw out Conservative, Inc. and replace it with something that is true to the vision.

You can get my books for the holidays here, my signed book store which has all 5 of my graphic novels, 9 of my single comics, and 13 of my novels:

So true. I do get tired of hearing this same thing and then having the same outlets refuse to discuss culture. And, then on top of it all, if somebody does discuss conservative artists, they’re often dismissed as “too religious” or something along those lines.

    Maybe start something on substack?
