I was curious as to Star Trek novelizations, as folk around here might know I’m a big fan of the show. When I looked into “where I should start reading” because, of course, they have their own continuity set up after the shows which has a zillion books, I found out it’s not-so-easily done:
Look daunting? I thought so too. There’s no way I have time for this so I guess the answer is to just give up.
The beauty of all of these properties back in the day is they were relatively simple to get into, now pretty much nothing is in the realm of these corporate properties. It’s what makes indie science fiction all the better.

I used to read the books – started when we only had reruns of TOS and the Blish ‘novella-isations’ plus the (originally mainly) fan fiction. Later and for years I used to get through the four books published per month (one for each season then available) and donate them to the school library (which had one of the best SF sections ever!). Then I retired and stopped buying or reading them…
