I noticed there’s a lot of comics which are in the public domain which did not get the nice hardcover treatment from Fantagraphics from the era of 1957 – 1961. As such, I stayed up far too late last night compiling a list of these stories to restore the colors and see if we can complete the pre-spider-man era of ditko in a nice archival format.
We did this with the hero, Dynamite Thor for a campaign last year and restored those stories, so I’m excited to undertake this project even though with around 200 pages of content it will be a time-consuming and costly one. We must preserve our great culture.
Speaking of honoring classics, My graphic novel DEUS VULT is still cooking along on IndieGoGo and really breaking every record I’ve had so far. Check it out if you love classics like Ditko/Buscema.
