When your friend’s Star Wars obsession reaches intergalactic addiction proportions, it’s time to bring them back to the beauty of reality and show them a new vacation escape.
Author’s Note: The aim is not to eradicate the love for Star Wars but to restore the balance that comes with living everyday life and ensures a more fulfilling and well-rounded existence beyond the confines of the space opera sci-fi saga.
When a friend’s Star Wars obsession takes on intergalactic proportions, intervening with real-world solutions becomes necessary. The immersive nature of Star Wars, with its iconic characters and intricate lore, can lead individuals to lose touch with parts of reality. Encouraging them to explore the richness of the physical world allows for a shift in perspective. Helping them appreciate the tangible joys that life outside the galaxy far, far away might seem like a task reserved for the Jedi Grand Masters themselves.

Until the ‘event’ or experience includes aspects of archetypical infinity, which camping and retreats may appear to do but don’t really ‘cos most peoples connection to natural rythyms is nulled at this point, then they will not be able to circumvent or rote over Star wars supersede-nostalgia (i.e. nostalgia you still feel but never experienced the original). Could a new story be written, yes but we don’t live in the 80’s mentality so kids aren’t looking positively to the future and investing in adventure and heroic exploits except maybe in computer games but they’re not soul defining experiences despite being advertised as such and film doesn’t hold the spiritual position it once held, do books, did they ever, do enough read them, I don’t know.
