Marvel and DC Writers Mags Visaggio and Sean McKeever Beg For Rent Money Online While The Comic Industry Collapses

It’s been a bad year for mainstream Marvel and DC Comics writers. After having a comic shop owner expose how terrible sales are because of poor self-insert writing, now Rebel Moon writer Mags Visaggio and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane writer Sean McKeever are begging for money for their rent.

In September, writer Mark Millar revealed Marvel and DC Comics, and those that orbit the Big-2, only accounted for 9% of comic industry sales. As time went on, more discussions about how poor the comic industry cropped up on the internet, which resulted in Mark Millar taking a lot of heat from the woke cancel pigs in the industry, including Mags Visaggio, transgender writer whose real name is Brian, who accused Millar of stealing his work.

Mags Visaggio has had a long history of stirring up hate online, intentionally attacking creators like Mark Millar, Sean Gordon Murphy, and others to get attention to his writing career. He continually eggs fans on, including a moment in October where he talked about a pitch to turn Superboy into a trans girl, exemplifying the very self-insert hack writing that has been a massive problem in the comic industry over the last few years.

The virtue signaling drew the attention of Rebel Moon director Zack Snyder, who teamed with Mags Visaggio and Titan Comics to make a Rebel Moon prequel comic. This resulted in Mags Visaggio trolling #SnyderCut fans, who historically opposed identity politics and were looking toward Zack Snyder to be a champion for a return to fun entertainment. Mags Visaggio posted several pictures to X with Zack Snyder, including attending a Rebel Moon premiere event.

It looked good on the surface for Visaggio, but, like most Marvel and DC Comics projects, the pay isn’t much more than some online clout for working for these IPs.

Mags Visaggio posted to X, explaining his dire financial situation, stating, “we could use some help till our next paycheck (invoiced Dec 7) following a pretty catastrophic month.” After this, he posted information on how to send him money for his begging.

It appears these corporate properties don’t pay well enough to allow people to survive, and virtue signaling for these corporations gets little financial reward.

Mags Visaggio isn’t the only one with problems, however. Sean McKeever, who used to be a rising star at Marvel and DC Comics, is facing similar problems after he hasn’t had much work in comics over the last decade.

Having worked on all-ages properties like Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, Gravity, and Sentinel, Sean McKeever looked like he had more talent than almost anyone in the industry. However, those types of stories are not promoted much by the industry, as Marvel and DC Comics like to push shock death events as well as get people rubbernecking by turning beloved characters gay to generate news headlines.
As much as Sean McKeever liked to virtue signal, which he has by attacking #ComicsGate, wearing masks in his profile pictures during the fake COVID-19 crisis, and quitting X once Elon Musk took it over to go to the leftist echo chamber BlueSky, it hasn’t landed him work with Marvel and DC Comics.

In November, Sean McKeever posted a GoFundMe asking fans to cover his rent for the last few months. This GoFundMe demanded more than $4,000 as he could not get work. Sean McKeever also stated he was getting a minimum wage job to keep the lights on.

Multiple Marvel and DC Comics writers are now begging for money, showing the mainstream comic industry is in even worse shape than we thought before. Comics are dying, and the writers are fiddling on social media while the industry burns.

Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I’ve seen your face before my friend
But I don’t know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin,
    I know where you’ve been
It’s all been a pack of lies

I think that I might hire McKeever to do the cover for my books. four hundred bucks if he doesn’t mind drawing boobs. But he doesn’t get my money for his marvel crap anymore.
