Rocksteady and Sweet Baby Inc.’s disastrous Suicide Squad game doesn’t seem capable of going an hour since launch without something going viral on X. From a disastrous launch that scammed customers who paid for early access, bugs which fully completed the game upon starting it up, to a gross monetization of cosmetics on a full priced AAA game.

However, the largest complaint over Rocksteady & Sweetbaby Inc.’s Pre-mature Brainchild is the fundamental misunderstanding, bastardization, and disrespect of most of the Justice League characters are forced to suffer through.
Flash is killed, which is fitting for the title, but then Captain Boomerang decides to walk up and piss on his corpse, although Captain Boomerang and the Rogues have always shown a lot of respect to the Scarlet Speedster. Even the Injustice series, which saw massive departures from how most of the characters would normally interact, understood the powerful dynamic.
Batman is left to sit and listen to Harley Quinn give a speech about what a bad person he is. How he’s caused so much harm and suffering and mental trauma before finally putting him out of his misery. Given that this is the same Harley who kidnapped children and experimented drugs on them… It fell flat for many fans of the Arkham games.
But recent character bios show just how much contempt the writers felt for John Stewart, this Justice League’s Green Lantern. In the comics, John is a man most men should aspire to be, as he’s always put service over himself. From being an army man to taking a higher calling to serve with the Green Lanterns it should surprise nobody that the game sarcastically calls him, “One Of The Good Ones.”
The language should shock no one. For as much as the progressive minds at Sweet Baby Inc. may hate your ‘Typical White Male’ heroes such as Barry and Bruce, they despise positive Black male figures in media who don’t parrot their ideology verbatim.

While some would argue this game is called Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League and it’s ridiculous to be upset over the villains mocking the death of heroes there is an obvious difference in how Wonder Woman was treated in the story and her in-game profile.
Wonder Woman being the only character to be given any grace caused many to raise an eyebrow. Especially given how the Squad reacts to the other heroes she seems to be the only one they respect, including mourning her death later.
But the in-game profile which is attributed to Lex Luthor of all people takes the feminist glazing to a whole other galaxy far, far away. It begins with Luthor talking about how much better Earth is due to the Amazons and how they fixed Democracy, ended the threat of Toxic Masculinity, and improved the lagging technologies of the world.
As hilarious as it sounds coming from Evil Capitalist Billionaire Lex Luthor it doesn’t end there.
The next part begins with Luthor romanticizing Diana and wondering if she’s Wonder Woman because she’s so Wonderful. It’s only in the last part where there’s some hint of the Luthor most people know as he speculates that Diana may actually not be as good as she claims.
However, it’s only because she left the great and glorious and equitable sisterhood of the Amazons to join the Justice League.
Given that Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League is a Live Service title and ends on a cliffhanger where Braniac is still invading, it’s likely we’ll see a continuation of the story, but is anyone willing to suffer through more of this? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
