John Cena, the once-feared WWE wrestler, has now become the butt of jokes as he announced that he was proud to play the role of “emotional support actor” for pop star Dua Lipa on the set of the film Argylle. The American singer and actress Dua Lipa has shared her experience working with the former wrestling champion John Cena, referring to him as her “emotional support actor.” Dua Lipa, who has worked with John Cena on various projects, including Argylle and a music video for her song Levitating, seems to regard John Cena as one of her girl friends and John Cena is all to happy to fulfil the role.

In an interview with Vice, Argylle star Dua Lipa praised John Cena’s acting skills and his ability to make her feel at ease on set. “It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him. He’s really my emotional support actor,” Argylle star Dua Lipa gushed. “It was fab, and he’s amazing, and I absolutely love working with John. He’s such a great guy and so lovely.”

As if that wasn’t enough, John Cena went on simping for director Greta Gerwig and lead actress Margot Robbie, who failed to get Oscar nominations in the Best Director and Best Actress categories and called their work “one hell of an achievement. I try to operate under the construct that, ‘What can I control?’ And I can’t switch anything that’s happened. I can let my friend Margot and I can certainly let Greta know that awards aren’t the only metric to success, and they have made a movie that has done tremendous business and changed a lot of lives in the process. And I think that’s one hell of an achievement.”

While John Cena may have found a new career as an emotional support actor for the likes of Argylle star Dua Lipa, one can’t help but wonder if he’s lost his edge in the process. It seems he’s now more focused on making his co-stars feel comfortable than delivering the knockout performances that made him famous. It’s a sad sight to see a once-feared wrestler reduced to playing the role of a glorified therapist for a pop star.

But hey, at least John Cena can take comfort in the fact that Argylle star Dua Lipa loves working with him. In conclusion, John Cena’s transformation from wrestling champion to emotional support actor for Dua Lipa is both hilarious and cringe-worthy. While it’s great to see him find success in a new field, one can’t help but wonder if he’s lost a bit of his tough-guy image in the process.
