Miles Morales, a character created by comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli in 2011, has been widely associated with actor Donald Glover. Bendis revealed that Glover’s portrayal of Spider-Man in an episode of Community inspired the creation of Miles Morales. He stated, “He looked fantastic! I saw him in the costume and thought, ‘I would like to read that book.’ So I was glad I was writing that book.”
Glover was once considered for the role of Miles Morales in a live-action adaptation, but as years passed, he expressed that he was too old for the part. Instead, Glover appeared as Miles’ uncle, Aaron Davis, in Spider-Man: Homecoming and made a live-action cameo as the Prowler in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, captured and detained by the Spider-Society.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair promoting his upcoming Mr. and Mrs. Smith reboot, Glover discussed the possibility of portraying Miles Morales in a live-action film. He believes that Sony is likely to produce a Miles Morales movie and that he might be cast as Prowler instead. Glover remarked, “There’s definitely going to be like a Miles Morales live-action eventually, and I think they’re probably more concerned with me being Prowler in that or something like that. I’m too old to be Spider-Man now.”

Fans speculate that Sony plans to introduce Miles Morales into the live-action Spider-Man cinematic universe when Tom Holland decides to step down from the role. Prowler, primarily depicted as a villain in animated Spider-Verse films, has a heroic comic book background as a reformed thief who turns his life around after an encounter with Peter Parker’s Spider-Man.
