Our expectations were low, but Madame Web is an unmitigated disaster falling even short of the trash fire disasters that fans have come to expect from the superhero genre. As of the writing of this article, the critic score on Rotten Tomatoes dropped to an abysmal 19% with audience scores still being held.

The only film Sony has put out with a lower score is Morbius which holds at 15%, for now. However, unlike Morbius which managed to reach ‘so bad, it’s good’ levels with some die-hard fans nobody is coming to the defense of Madame Web.

Even its lead actress Dakota Johnson made waves prior to the release by dropping her talent agency and publicly slamming the production as a mess weeks prior. Which followed a very lackluster promotion by her as can be seen below.

While Johnson was seen on the red carpet premiere of the film it’s well known she’s unhappy about being a part of this film. And now audiences are getting to see exactly why.

It’s hard to claim anyone had high hopes for Madame Web as her comic book character is an elderly woman suffering from multiple disabilities who just happens to be connected to Spider-Man through her clairvoyance and other telepathic abilities. But Sony seemed determined to add another disaster to their own cinematic universe.

What do you think about Madame Web, is it something you;re excited to see, or are you in agreement with the abysmal score? Leave us a comment and let us know!

No one ever really cared about the Eternals, and Madame Web doesn’t even rise to that level.
