‘Sweet Baby Inc. detected’ detects a new game in which SBI was involved, this time it is EA’s Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. Steam community member Darth Chronic posted: “NEW SBI game found. SBI Detected”
The news was picked up when toxic Sweet Baby Inc sent out the latest Sweet Baby Inc. newsletter which read: “Come into the world of Kenzera. Our friends at Surgent Studios dropped the trailer for their upcoming action-adventure platformer, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. We had the utmost pleasure of working with Abubakar Salim and the Surgent team on this poignant story, which has been heavily inspired and influenced by Bantu mythology. We know you’re gonna love it as much as we do. In Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, join Zau as he journeys through the world of Kenzera to get his Baba back, joined by an unlikely companion: the God of Death.”

Let’s dissect this Sweet Baby Inc. verbal jigsaw puzzle, shall we? Strap in for a ride through the tangled web of marketing hype and emotional manipulation.
“Become The Warrior Shaman.” Apparently, nothing says “unique and innovative” like a protagonist archetype straight out of a bargain bin fantasy novel. And who better to voice our brooding hero than Abubakar Salim because he voiced a character in a popular game once.
Apparently, originality is as elusive to EA and Sweet Baby Inc. as the Lost Crown itself. So, here we have Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, a game that’s about as original as a photocopy of a photocopy. Prepare to be dazzled by a universe inspired by Bantu tales, complete with rich lore, mystical realms, and enchanting original scores. Why bother creating something new and exciting when you can just borrow from an existing game and slap a fresh coat of paint on it? Someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to make EA’s Tales of Kenzera: ZAU eerily similar to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Because who needs creativity when you can just copy-paste your way to mediocrity?

So, what’s the big difference between these two? One is set in Africa. That’s right, folks. Africa. Apparently, changing the backdrop is all it takes to turn Tales of Kenzera: ZAU into a revolutionary gaming experience.
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “Gee, I wish Prince of Persia was set in Africa,” then Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is the game for you. But if you’re looking for something even remotely original, well… you might want to look elsewhere.
And now, onto the emotional manipulation portion of our program. Our intrepid game developer regales us with tales of… well, nothing much, really. Just some vague ramblings about how he wanted to make a game and stuff. And he got some help from Sweet Baby Inc. because nothing says “quality gaming experience” like the involvement of a notoriously toxic company.
But fear not, dear reader, for our protagonist’s journey is not without purpose. Through the power of love (and probably a healthy dose of magical shamanic mumbo-jumbo), he will brave the treacherous lands of Kenzera, bargaining with death itself to do something or other. With the involvement of Sweet Baby Inc., Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is shaping up to be the gaming equivalent of a soggy cardboard box: bland, uninspired, and destined for the bargain bin.
What do you think of Sweet Baby Inc.’s involvement in EA’s Tales of Kenzera: ZAU? Leave a comment and let us know.

Thanks for pointing this out. It is strange that devs with Muslim sounding names like Abu Bakar are not ashamed of dealing with the devil.
Definitely not buying this crap.

Tales of Kenzera reminds me of the Black Panther/The Woman King films – trying to create stories with black characters, but reduces them to literal ‘spear-chuckers’ and tribal warriors. Basically racist stereotypes, like the creators are white and they can only think of African tribalism and ancient initiations trials for ‘black’ content.

Lol 🤣 before buying or getting a free game, i now check SBI involvement. If they are involved I’m not playing even if sony trows it at me for free. Will download just to give 1star rating.

I think that you sound like a whiny bitch with an ax to grind. So only one story ever is allowed to have someone follow a certain plot or style of gameplay? Get out of here. Half of them follow a shakespeare plot or tales as old as time with revenge, luat, and greed as main motivators. So what? Is the game play good? Ate the setting good? Do the voices fit the character? That’s the sort of stuff one cares about not your one sided gripes.
