On March 24th, 2024, it came out that Cartoonist Kayfabe creator Ed Piskor had been sliding up into the DMs of an under-18 female artist with some questionable material said where it appeared as if he was making sexualized comments to her. After Fandom Pulse brought these matters to light, the comic industry veteran has now deleted his social media in response.
Despite what looks like a friendly community on the surface, the Cartoonist Kayfabe group is part of the overall comic industry whisper network, carefully gatekeeping anyone with politics outside of the extreme leftism that’s permeated the industry. Their Facebook group is known to ban people just over their identities, and recently, in an interview with Nexus co-creators Steve Rude, Ed Piskor and Jim Rugg encouraged discussion lambasting Mike Baron, which seemed politically motivated.
The Cartoonist Kayfabe team also came under fire a couple of years ago when their comic book featured a cover that paid homage to the graphic novel Maus. Fantagraphics was set to publish this, but an outraged leftist mob threatened to cancel them, and so they tucked tail and censored the cover over the woke comic Twitter outcries.
Ed Piskor came under fire from Instagram artist @sydgoblin, who claims she was groomed by him back when she was 17 years old, after releasing several DMs where Ed Piskor asks for her age, calls her “naughty girl” and more.
After Ed Piskor’s behavior was revealed, he deleted his Twitter account, the account of @cartoonkayfabe, and the Cartoonist Kayfabe YouTube Channel. It was an odd response to the allegations made by sydgoblin, as to many, it made Ed Piskor look guilty and many people speculated about what else the Cartoonist Kayfabe purveyor might be hiding.
Many across the industry reacted to the news of Ed Piskor and his DMs, most notably Alex De Campi, a force in the comic industry whisper network who used the situation to lecture everyone about how women in the comic industry are constantly subject to this kind of treatment from veterans. In a bizarre virtue signal, she also included “female presenting,” as if men pretending to be women somehow get the same flirtations.
Matters became worse for Ed Piskor and Cartoonist Kayfabe, however, as Ethan Van Sciver posted a picture that shows the Marvel Comics artist liking pictures of sydgoblin when she would have been 14 years old, leading some to believe that Ed Piskor had been stalking her profile even at that young of an age.
With the DMs Ed Piskor had dropped by sydgoblin, it doesn’t look good for the embattled artist.
Overnight, Cartoonist Kayfabe restored their YouTube channel to active, though Ed Piskor’s Twitter and the Cartoonist Kayfabe Twitter accounts still remain down.

Then I read the article, and was like. “Oh. Damn.” I reckon your title should reflect his actions a lot more than it does.
Take the L? No the guy should be investigated dicampi is being nice in this situation. So true that these people act holier than thou but commit awful acts I mean none of his peers are calling for investigations into the weirdo not only that he was a culture vulture on the rap scene like those other weird white hipsters. He pushed cultural appropriation and he was a predator interested in underage girls. Is he still working for major publishers? Why hasn’t he been blacklisted? He has time to chastise right wingers so do his peers but none of them have anything to say? None of his former guests? Just awful I hope they all get exposed because I know he’s not the only one.
He’s not alone there’s weird allegations against EVS too about him trying to suck other men off potentially underage boys too. These people are just weird. It’s like they run a cheap version of the Illuminati. Joe Quesada, Mark Waid, Dan Slott, Mags, Erik Larsen, Gail Simone, Ken Penders, Ian Flynn, Bendis, and a ton of others.

Notice they haven’t fired him from Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, or IDW yet so they take issue with right wingers or those that hang out with right wingers but they’re ok with pedos. Heather Antos, Tom Breevort, Mark Waid none of them them have taken action.
