It’s been a rough week for Cartoonist Kayfabe purveyor Ed Piskor. Best known for his work at Marvel Comics on X-Men: Grand Design, now his name is becoming associated with bad online behavior using his clout in the comic industry to prey upon young women, based on screenshots revealed by a girl who said he was trying to groom her at age 17. Now, another female artist has come out with accusations of lewd demands from him.
e with politics outside of the extreme leftism that’s permeated the industry. Their Facebook group is known to ban people just over their identities, and recently, in an interview with Nexus co-creators Steve Rude, Ed Piskor and Jim Rugg encouraged discussion lambasting Mike Baron, which seemed politically motivated.
The Cartoonist Kayfabe team also came under fire a couple of years ago when their comic book featured a cover that paid homage to the graphic novel Maus. Fantagraphics was set to publish this, but an outraged leftist mob threatened to cancel them, and so they tucked tail and censored the cover over the woke comic Twitter outcries.
Ed Piskor came under fire from Instagram artist @sydgoblin, who claims she was groomed by him back when she was 17 years old, after releasing several DMs where Ed Piskor asks for her age, calls her “naughty girl” and more.
After Ed Piskor’s behavior was revealed, he deleted his Twitter account, the account @cartoonkayfabe, and the Cartoonist Kayfabe YouTube Channel. It was an odd response to the allegations made by Sydgoblin, as many felt it made Ed Piskor look guilty, and many others speculated about what else the Cartoonist Kayfabe purveyor might be hiding.
Now, another accuser has surfaced claiming that Ed Piskor was making lewd comments to her during this same time period. An artist who goes by wollymight on both Twitter and Instagram posted:
“It’s come to my attention that an experience I had in Pittsburgh is similar to several women’s experiences regarding Ed Piskor. I reached out to Ed and he eagerly invited me over. We had plenty of fun and discussed animation and comics. This was until he asked me to suck his dick in exchange for his agent’s number.
“He then asked me to join him for an open relationship so that if I wanted to ‘eat pussy,’ I’d be free to do so. I have recently learned that he was attempting to line up some of those ‘girls’ at the same time and guess what? Today I learned some of them were minors.
“Ed and I’s exchanges were short lived, only about two or so years. We would check in on one another every couple of months. It was clear he’d grown afraid of me. I’ve warned several people over the years about him, so those of you that already know, know. I ask that you be supportive and kind of all the women that come forward in the coming weeks.”
The post has since been deleted but was followed up with several Twitter replies regarding Cartoonist Kayfabe and Ed Piskor savaging the creator as talentless and using his YouTube clout to strongarm the industry into carrying his books.
Wollymight also accuses Ed Piskor and Cartoonsit Kayfabe of lying about sales numbers in order to try to gin up their clout in the industry, something Fandom Pulse has seen repeatedly done among some Marvel and DC Comics professionals.
These posts have also been deleted, though wollymight posted again saying she granted permission for others to use her words to spread the news.
So far, neither Ed Piskor nor Jim Rugg from Cartoonist Kayfabe has commented on this matter.

I stopped watching CK when it became obvious that Ed was not actually reading a lot of the comics they talked about. And he frequently got the histories wrong and made too many assumptions based on his limited knowledge that were totally far out and of course laced with F bombs. Not to mention CK was just a commercial for his cruddy little comic which I never bought because it was sick trash.
I see these types pop up on Youtube that get some views with their rants against the industry and then get great sales on their lousy comics because people just want to be part of the cult of personality. Dudes like young rippa and Piskor are angry control freaks that bring nothing new to comics.
They’re not producing something better or new because they just dont have the artistic talent, life experience or writing skills to make a real good quality comics. They just see comics as a way to become low rent celebs.
