Flashgitz’s Pilot Episode “Space King” Explodes on YouTube

Flashgitz is a YouTube channel run by Thomas “Tom” Edgar Hinchliffe and Donald “Don” Jeremy Greger. The channel features animated shorts, usually with pop-culture references ranging from Nintendo characters to Warhammer 40K. More recently, the duo decided to try their luck with original content by launching a pilot called “Space King,” which is itself a parody of Warhammer 40K but with its own mythos.

The pilot mainly concerns the exploits of the Star Defenders legion within an unnamed interstellar human empire. Their leader, Space King, has vanished and allegedly will return to them when he finds his “sons” worthy of him. Space King’s “sons” are not explicitly named in the video, although they are supposed to be a mock of the Space Marines in Warhammer 40K. The legion that is focused on is the Star Defender legion, although the Hatemonger legion is represented as well.

The episode itself focuses on Cap, Bryce, Hatemonger, and Chestnut, the top officers in the Star Defender legion. After Cap deploys his entire legion to a planet and subsequently genocides the 20 billion inhabitants, he finds out that the artifact he was supposed to be looking for wasn’t on that planet and that he was supposed to be on one of its moons. As punishment, he is sent there with only Bryce, Hatemonger, and Chestnut to locate the artifact, but dangerous temptations await him on that moon. Who will survive? Who will die in their efforts to secure the precious artifact?

You’ll have to watch the video yourself because I won’t be spoiling it for you.

At the end of the video, both Tom and Dom have a short ad to support their Patreon website, stating that they made this video for “mentally ill teenage boys” and “30-year-old men”, unlike Hollywood, which seems only to make content for “mentally ill teenage girls.” They also state their Patreon has an uncut version of the Space King pilot and that they will not sell this IP to Hollywood because they know it will just become Woke garbage (in so many words).

Following the video’s release, YouTube reviews exploded with positive reception and support across the board. Everyone loves the Space King cartoon, and everyone seems to agree that they want more.

As of writing this, Space King has over 4 million views and they have announced that episode 2 is a go.

It cannot be understated how significant this is. Both Tom and Dom have a solid sense of humor and clever writing, and most of their content is fun to watch. They pull no punches and reject the wokeness that has perverted Hollywood and their clear identity crisis when it comes to the cultural landscape. It is refreshing to see independent creators find massive success outside of the sick and predictable casting-couch system that is Hollywood, especially when it comes to adult animation.

At the very least, you can watch Space King and give it a thumbs up.

Honestly, when I watch this short animated film, I love how awesome Flashgitz made as they inspired Warhammer 40k with some Angry-faced Space Marines. I watched it over and over again as I loved it and wanted to see more. Plus, not only that, they also made some weird animations.
