The Terminator franchise has extended its narrative beyond the realm of cinema into the realm of comic books, offering fans an expanded universe rich in lore and action. Dark Horse Comics acquired the license to produce Terminator comics in the late 1980s, with the first series, simply titled “The Terminator,” launching in 1988. This series served as a direct sequel to the original 1984 film, exploring the aftermath of Sarah Connor’s encounter with the Terminator. Its success led to further expansions, including the “Terminator: The Burning Earth” limited series in 1990, which delved into a post-apocalyptic future.

As the Terminator franchise continued to evolve with sequels and spin-offs, so too did its presence in the comic book world. Notable series include “Terminator: Secondary Objectives,” “Terminator: Endgame,” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day – Cybernetic Dawn.” These comics often explored untold stories, alternative timelines, and the broader implications of the Terminator universe. With the rise of digital platforms and new publishing avenues, the Terminator comics have continued to attract both longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise, offering fresh perspectives and exciting adventures within the dystopian world of man versus machine. Today, the Terminator comics stand as an integral part of the franchise’s multimedia landscape, enriching its mythology and ensuring its legacy endures across multiple mediums.
Dynamite advertises the collection as:

Terminator is woke, Cameron is woke, and Dynamite is woke so no one should support this. It’s obvious like The Matrix this was stolen and Cameron didn’t create the original script. Terminator was only supposed to be 2 movies.
