After nearly 8 years of fans waiting, Richard Fox finally returned to the main Ember War universe line to pen a prequel book 10 in The Fall Of Earth. Over the last few years, Richard Fox has been crushing it with his side-series in the same sci-fi universe with epic action that puts any Star Wars movie to shame. He won a Dragon Award and even got picked up by Baen Books for his series, The Shattered Star Legacy.
Fans have eagerly awaited a return to The Ember War proper after book nine set the series in a place where it looked like it had its finale. Many series come to natural end of arcs and Richard Fox spent his time exploring other strange, new worlds in his science fiction writing while a new story finally percolated to bring back the classic saga.
The Fall Of Earth is a set in the universe, going back to the original alien invasion in the first Ember War novel.
The Amazon listing for The Fall Of Earth says:
The Xaros attacked Earth without warning. The Xaros attacked without mercy.
