Fandom Pulse Gets Canceled By Facebook, Users Unable to Post Our Articles “Against Our Community Standards”

Yesterday, we received messages of outpouring of support from dozens of people who have been posting Fandom Pulse articles since we opened our site in December. It seems our coverage of some topic upset some of the woke activists out there who mass reported out site and have it flagged as content “that goes against our community standards.” This is the price of being honest in journalism and flying over the target, but we don’t aim to stop telling the truth.

Nexus creator Mike Baron was the first to let us know what was going on as he had posts from months ago flagged by Facebook to be taken down. His post was just a paste of our “Marvel’s Ultimate X-Men Will Be A Peach Momoko Self-Insert” article, a hard-hitting journalism piece about the state of Marvel Comics.

Mike Baron told us, “What possible business is it of Facebook? They just can’t leave people alone. It’s one thing to remove dick pics, it’s another to hassle everyone under the sun over completely innocent posts, or go combing through your posts from ten years ago to find something they can hang around your neck.”

Many other readers noticed the same thing and we were flooded with support messages over the course of the day.

Land & Sea creator Blaine Pardoe voiced his support for Fandom Pulse on X, saying, “The leftists are playing their censorship games. I stand with @jondelarroz.”

Facebook, unfortunately, is a crucial part of making sure that pop culture news gets to the audience. In March, we were also deprioritized by Google, which started serving zero impressions for our articles on search after our Sweet Baby Inc. coverage. With two big tech sites now throttling us, we are going to have to adapt to survive.

Ad revenue isn’t possible to achieve with two major tech companies making sure we can’t be seen. We’re going to be moving to Substack to make sure we can get out the news that Disney corporate and their cronies don’t want you to see. We’ve already been posting our top articles of the day there, but it will be going full time starting in June.

For now, you can support there and please subscribe via a paid option because we will be counting on your revenue to get us going. Another place to support would be Subscribe Star, which for your subscription you also get all of my (Jon Del Arroz’s) exclusive fiction content which is fighting the culture war as well.

We appreciate your support and readership.
