Wikipedia Wars Over Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Black Samurai Yasuke

In an incredibly disrespectful move to Japanese culture Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is the first Assassin’s Creed set in Japan, features a black Samurai called Yasuke as protagonist. To add insult to injury Yasuke, although a real historical figure, is passed of as a real life historical samurai. Yasuke was a real life figure, and yes he was black. The problem? Yasuke never was a samurai, he was a servant. And now a war has erupted between Wikipedia editors with some attempting to black-wash Japanese history and claim that Yasuke was indeed a samurai.

A woke Wikipedia editor named Theozilla removed the section about there being no evidence of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Yasuke being a real life samurai. X user LearningTheLaw pointed out: “User Theozilla has successfully removed the section from Wikipedia detailing the lack of proof of Yasuke being a samurai. Editors argue that this action represents another form of revisionism in favor of big corporations. He claims no source is needed to identify him as a Samurai. That wasn’t the end of it, as one editor that respects Japanese history reverted the Wikipedia back to correctly say that there’s no evidence of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Yasuke ever being a real life samurai. Yet that was not the end of it either as hundreds of woke Wikipedia editors attacked him in an attempt to black-wash Japanese history. LearningTheLaw posted: “One man is fighting a holy war against communist revisionists to prevent Yasuke from becoming progressive propaganda. Hundreds of editors are now attacking Wikipedia to alter history, ensuring that AC Shadows don’t receive too many blows. This is better than paying $70 to ubiflop”

As at the time of writing this article the Yasuke Wikipedia page reads: “Yasuke was a man, likely of African origin, who served as a servant and retainer to the Japanese daimyō Oda Nobunaga in 1581–1582, during the Sengoku period. He was retained by the daimyō as a koshō for a period of 15 months until Nobunaga’s death in the Honnō-ji Incident.” and the Documented Life In Japan section reads: “It is important to note that despite popular myth and modern depictions there are no historical writings nor evidence that Yasuke was ever granted the rank or title of samurai, he was never given a fief nor referred to as one in any writings. Most of our knowledge of his life comes from these messages written by missionaries and locals.”

So far the one man crusade against hundreds of woke Wikipedia editors attempting to black-wash Japanese history and portray Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Yasuke as a real life black samurai is successful.

Such a crying shame that M.A. Rothman (Bane Stan and former Sad Puppy) is spreading and defending the same lies Wikipedia is spreading. But it’s unsurprising if rumors of him being a Mossad Agent are true.

Kind of like how Gal Gadot defends feminist crap.
