Senior lead weapon artist at AAA game studio CD Projekt Red, Michal Kalisz, was bullied into submission after he sympathized with gamers critical of the black servant Yasuke being the lead male and a samurai in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Michal Kalisz initially came out in support of gamers, posting that they had valid criticisms of Assassin’s Creed Shadows with its African servant, Yasuke, retconned to be a samurai and male lead of a game set in Japan: “The concerns and criticism around Assassin’s Creed Shadow are valid and I personally think it might disrespect Japanese culture with the provided historical inaccuracy. People, especially Japanese people, have full right to oppose trends like this.”
However, not long after the AAA games studio CD Projekt Red senior artist Michal Kalisz came out in support of gamers against Yasuke, he posted a statement to X which has the sulphuric stench of DEI commissars and CD Projekt Red’s PR department all over it: “I’ve noticed criticism of my recent comment about AC Shadows. After reflecting on it and reading your responses/retweets, I realize I owe you an apology. First of all, I acknowledge that I am not qualified to share statements or discuss such topics.
Your feedback has highlighted the importance of being more informed and respectful in my opinions. It has also shown me that we should be more open to new ideas and not restrict ourselves too much while creating new worlds. We all draw inspiration from a wide range of media, and that’s great. I appreciate your patience and understanding. I’ve learned something valuable and will strive to do better in the future. I’m looking forward to the next AC; the setting intrigues me a lot”

That statement reads like it was prepared by AAA games studio CD Projekt Red’s PR department and the only question is how long Michal Kalisz, who has since locked his X account, has to spend in a re-education camp under the watchful eyes of DEI commissars.
Perhaps Michal Kalisz should have known better than to give his honest opinion about Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s Yasuke. It isn’t exactly a secret that the AAA game studio CD Projekt Red is a rancid diversity-worshipping company. On 16 May they proudly announced their menstruation trophy: “We’re proud to receive the Diversity Charter Award for our Menstrual Leave benefit in the category of “Innovative Approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Business”, which honors organizations showcasing outstanding commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace. This category is chosen by internet users, so thank you to everyone who voted for us!”
Grummz noted how game devs are browbeaten into submission by the AAA companies that they work for: “Nobody in AAA gaming is free to speak. I have so many friends and contact who tell me they will lose their jobs if they say anything.”
AAA game studios deserve to fail, fast and hard.

Meanwhile, Baen Stan’s like M. A. Rothman would defend the Dei lies and silently agree with these communist ice actions. I wonder what he has in common with the wannabe Soviets?
