Legendary comic writer Mark Millar raised a question that many people have been internally asking: What is Daredevil: Born Again going to be about? The project has been filming for Disney+ as a revival of the esteemed Netflix Daredevil show, but there are many lingering questions.
Earlier this year, information on the new Daredevil: Born Again project began to surface through leaks. The costume of Bullseye struck controversy on the internet as it looked cheap and uninspired, and fans immediately lost faith in the Disney show. However, the announcement that Jon Bernthal was going to play the Punisher gave fans some hope of the show honoring the first.
Like usual, however, Disney immediately quashed any fan sentiment by announcing they’re casting four transgender actors in the show, pushing the LGBTQ+ agenda again through their decision-making, which is permeating everything in pop culture to the point many viewers have tuned out of franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, and Doctor Who.

All of the above said, what can a revitalization of the Daredevil show bring? The title, Born Again, implies that the Disney+ show will be following Frank Miller’s beloved and iconic Daredevil run, a storyline that changed the character and the entire comic industry with its impact.
Mark Millar, creator of The Magic Order, wonders how they can do this given what the original Netflix storyline was about.
“Question: How can the new Daredevil TV do Born Again when the excellent third season of the Netflix show did Born Again already – from Kingpin taking Matt’s life apart to his rebirth in the church when he finds out his mother is Sister Maggie?” Mark Millar posted to X.

Several fans responded that his question brought up a good point. Would Disney+ revisit the storyline and do yet another Kingpin/Bullseye story? It’s quite possible, given how Echo set up the Kingpin returning to New York. However, with that setup, it also appears like they are copying the recent storyline in Marvel Comics, where the Kingpin became mayor and harassed superheroes with law enforcement.
It would make sense, as Daredevil would be “Born Again” and Kingpin would also have a resurgence and rebirth, though it certainly wouldn’t match the storyline name in terms of the Frank Miller comic.
It appears as if Disney is merely using the title to evoke nostalgia in Daredevil fans rather than actually doing a complete reboot.
Pop culture expert Nerdrotic chimed in with a humorous quip on the Mark Millar post, saying, “Daredevil Born Again, Again.” Perhaps that’s what this will be.
What do you think Disney Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again will be like? Does Mark Millar have a great point? Leave a comment and let us know.

I am betting Disney’s going to try to turn the storyline around, turning it into an anti-Christian deconstruction of Daredevil’s faith and change the focus into him becoming a jaded ‘born again athiest’.
That would certainly fit their agenda and prior behavior.
