I’ve been watching a lot of Star Trek as I’m prepping my space exploration series and doing my writing so I can get the feel right for the readers. Because of this, I realized I could start reviewing episodes for everyone. I’ve started mostly with The Next Generation but am also slowly making my way through The Original Series and also going to be detouring to Prodigy since a new season came out on Netflix (which is fantastic, at least in its first season — a hidden gem of TV).

Star Trek is really why I got into writing. My first sci-fi book I ever read was The Captain’s Daughter by Peter David, which my mom bought for me when I was home sick from school one day. I read the book in 2 1/2 days and absolutely loved getting that additional bit of lore. Peter David is an incredibly good writer and went on to do his own series of books called New Frontier, in which he got to develop his own cast of characters in the Star Trek universe.
With all the crappy modern Trek, I figured I could do one better and that’s why I’m working on this, doing space exploration from a non-left wing perspective so we can get some good science fiction again. Maybe one day, they’ll make Valiant Frontiers into a TV show. Someone tell the Daily Wire to fund me!
