I was watching a preacher give a great analogy the other night.
If you think about camping, we get close to the flame to feel heat, and then we back away when we feel like we’re getting too warm.
This is good in that instance, but when it comes to our faith, our passion, our love for the Lord, He demands we dive into the flame. It may feel like the safe thing to do to get close and back away, but with the love of God, with true faith, we abandon all safety, we go full-tilt, all in.
It’s what’s called of us.
It’s a really difficult thing to do because it requires pushing ourselves into uncomfortable or even what looks like dangerous situations.
But He will be with us, He will cover us, He will protect us through all of it.
It is written, and His word is infallible.
Take the leap today and go. You won’t regret it. It’s the only important thing you can do with your life.
And if you want to read an allegory about going all in for God, read Justified today:
