I have to echo the priest’s homily yesterday on Easter which was wonderful and actionable, something I don’t hear very often these days. God created you and me to be separate from the animals, and what separates us is our ability to reason. Therefore we must question, we must doubt, we must investigate for ourselves to discover truths. We can never rely on the news to do that for us, because they spread so many falsehoods.
Even if it seems like a reminder, it can never be restarted enough because it’s so easy to fall into the trap of unthinking and accepting. We must never do this. We must always be vigilant. It’s the only way we’re going to discover what’s true and maintain our path toward such truth.
We try to do our best around these parts. The message is simple, but it’s also difficult. I found the words to be edifying, hopefully you do similarly.
