The BBC revealed too much of the forthcoming Doctor Who season starring Ncuti Gatwa. With his first helmed episode releasing Dec. 25, Gatwa is set to take over the role of The Doctor with promised changes from showrunner Russell T. Davies. They already have stated they’ll be upsetting old fans. Now, a new trailer and images are unnerving fans with images that make it look like a giant LGBTQ pride parade.
The first trailer showed The Doctor prancing around wearing a skirt and a wife-beater shirt in what looked like a rave or a gay nightclub setting. Gatwa appears in his element here, spinning like one might see a woman on a dance floor. The imagery was akin to doing drugs at a gay bar.

It revealed his new companion, Ruby, for the special titled The Church of Ruby Road, played by actress Millie Gibson. The trailer further corrupts the concept of Doctor Who as the two of them jump onto what appears to be some sort of airship where goblins are aboard. This turns Doctor Who into a Harry Potter-esque fantasy series rather than maintaining the science fiction it once had.
There isn’t much dialogue in the trailer, but it turns The Doctor into a Gen-Z woman in how he talks, as there’s a highly pronounced “like, wow,” as if that’s supposed to convey anything about his situation.

Fans are already upset about the way the David Tennant return 60th Anniversary Specials have turned Doctor Who into woke propaganda. Starting with a character they called Rose, they presented Donna Noble’s son as a transgender teen, lecturing both the audience and The Doctor on pronouns and reminding the audience how this character is allegedly a “beautiful woman” throughout the series of specials.
The David Tennant return run culminated in The Doctor not dying and regenerating but giving birth to himself in one of the cringiest scenes ever filmed on the show. Ncuti Gatwa pops out of David Tennant with no pants while several white women watch and gawk. It appears as if Russell T. Davies is simply trolling his audience at this point.
The BBC also dropped images of The Doctor’s new attire for the series, including a complete redesign of the sonic screwdriver. The new device doesn’t resemble a screwdriver but has some strange shape. Pop culture analyst and YouTuber Nerdrotic commented on the device’s design of the device, hammering it as “the sonic butt plug” on X.
Fans mocked the new design in the comments rather than thinking it to be anything that sparks their interest in the show. With the latest Doctor Who special dropping in the ratings even further to be David Tennant’s lowest-rated episode again, one wonders if Russell T. Davies is intentionally trying to sink ratings and destroy what he once built.
The new Doctor Who is streaming on Disney+ in a new deal, and with the black replacement doctor and the strange LGBTQ extreme lifestyle imagery, it appears as if Ncuti Gatwa fits right in for the show’s new home.
