Star Wars Actor John Boyega Mocks Suggestion He Should Replace Jonathan Majors as Disney Marvel’s Kang Supervillain

With the cancellation of Kang actor Jonathan Majors, speculation is rife regarding what will become of his high-profile character in the Disney-owned Avengers franchise. While some fans suspect that Dr. Doom might replace Kang, others have suggested that the character could be recast, perhaps by John Boyega. When asked about it, Boyega responded with a humorous clip of the Donkey from Shrek shaking his head negatively.

Boyega has expressed strong disappointment with the Walt Disney Company due to the treatment of his character in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. In the first film, his character was given a leading role that promised a substantial story arc, but by the final movie it appeared the filmmakers did not know what to do with him, merely giving him a handful of cryptic lines that lead nowhere.

In the Disney Star Wars trilogy, Boyega’s character was implied to have a deep connection of some sort to the female lead Rey, played by Daisy Ridley. In the final film, there is a scene where it appears that the connection is about to be revealed, with Boyega’s character shouting, “Rey! I’m…” but the line is cut off, and the moment of revelation never comes.

In an interview with British GQ magazine, Boyega said, “What I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good.”

Boyega’s Star Wars character was also slighted by Disney when his picture was literally shrunken on a Chinese-language poster for The Force Awakens—as if they were trying to conceal his prominence in the film from Chinese audiences.

Boyega might be unenthusiastic about the prospect of replacing Jonathan Majors due to severe criticism Disney has received about going “woke” and ruining various franchises—as parodied in a South Park special “Into the Panderverse” where Disney employee and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy shouts, “Put a chick in it and make it gay!”

In recent years, Disney has been either killing off their male heroes or emasculating them in some way in order to make way for more “inclusive” female characters. Their woke agenda is making it impossible for them to create popular or successful films. Boyega may be aware of this in some fashion and wish to avoid the clown show that Disney has become.

Although there is no confirmation of this, there is also a possibility that Boyega is standing in solidarity with Majors, as New York courts are notorious for unjustly favoring women. Some video evidence exists that appears to show Majors attempting to de-escalate a volatile confrontation with the woman he is accused of assaulting.

He was far from the worst thing about the sequels. Last thing he wants is to step into that quagmire after barely escaping another .. lol.
