Jason Aaron Leaks He Will Be Taking Over Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles For A New Relaunch At IDW Publishing As TMNT Hits Its 40th Anniversary

IDW Publishing recently announced they would be ending the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles run with Sophie Campbell’s Issue #150. The company made the announcement via the shill access media site CBR, which botched the headline, stating, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #150 and IDW Celebrate the End of an Era,” leaving fans wondering if TMNT was going to be canceled. However, the announcement was a precursor to worse news for fans as woke activist Jason Aaron has been announced to write the relaunch.

TMNT is IDW Pulibshing’s top property, garnering sales that IcV2 calls the top superhero franchise, mainly coasting off the sales of original turtles creator Kevin Eastman’s The Last Ronin, which is getting a sequel as well with The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution. Even having sales that surpass Marvel and DC Comics with TMNT, IDW Publishing has still struggled, delisting from the New York Stock Exchange last year and laying off a substantial percentage of its workforce.

The company’s troubles didn’t stop embattled editor Heather Antos from failing upward, as she went from a senior editor position to being in charge of all of their licensed products. This came off the heels of IDW Publishing losing G.I. Joe and Transformers to Image Comics, which has been rebooted to critical and fan acclaim by Robert Kirkman and his Skybound group.

Heather Antos has been at the forefront of controversy like she has everywhere she goes, taking Star Trek and hiring writers who produced cringy fan fiction without any regard to continuity, even to the point where a Vulcan character lectures the crew about pronouns in a recent issue. Hiring Jason Aaron to write TMNT will prove another disaster of epic proportions.

Jason Aaron has pushed woke content everywhere he goes, primarily responsible for turning Thor into a woman with his Jane Foster Thor run at Marvel Comics, which was the basis for the universally panned movie Thor: Love and Thunder. Jason Aaron also virtue signaled with his Conan run, donating his pay to charity because he created a fictional character sharing a name with Pocahontas, which woke mobs lambasted as racist.

Jason Aaron caved to the mob with this apology, stating, “I understand the outrage expressed by those who hold the true Matoaka’s legacy dear, and for all of this and the distress it’s caused, I apologize.” Jason Aaron continued, “As part of that apology, I’ve already taken what I was paid for the issue and donated it to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center. The character’s name and appearance will be adjusted for the rest of this mini-series and in all digital and collected editions.”

On his recent Superman run, Jason Aaron has also given hints he is taking the character and making it woke. Avi Green of Bleeding Fool reported he aims to “make a statement” with the Superman character. Green concludes that given Jason Aaron’s track record, he means to “write up metaphors for liberal feminist nonsense.”

Now helming the main TMNT line with Heather Antos at the helm of the property, it can only mean a similar spiral for the beloved Turtles characters. The main TMNT series has already faced criticisms after issue #100, where the series spiraled with female replacement characters and wokeism, but with Jason Aaron’s influence, it can only get worse.

At Megacon, Jason Aaron announced he would be taking on TMNT in an IDW Publishing relaunch after issue #150 closes out the current series. The relaunch will be in conjunction with the Turtles’ 40th Anniversary, and there will be a spinoff series occurring as well, according to IDW Publishing representatives.

Jason didn’t leak anything. And he wasn’t at Megacon. And Megacon wasn’t in Florida, but London. You took this from the Bleeding Cool scoop and pretended you got it independently, and made some basic errors when copying the Bleeding cool story.
