A new fighting game called “Jump Cross Burst” is in development by Ganbarion and Bandai Namco’s internal teams. This crossover platform fighter will feature over 70 playable characters from popular Shonen Jump anime and manga series, with hundreds more represented through support capsules, cameos, and collectibles.
Jump Cross Burst is targeting a 2025 release on PC, Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The game will have a heavy emphasis on air combat, with most characters having separate air specials and attacks. Ganbarion is working hard to make each character feel unique despite coming from different Shonen Jump series.

Bandai Namco and Ganbarion plan to officially reveal Jump Cross Burst sometime this year. The game was originally referred to internally as “Jump Stars Ultimax” and was considered a spiritual successor to Jump Force. However, the final name appears to be Jump Cross Burst.
Jump Cross Burst will feature 24 stages at launch, possibly more via DLC. The stages will be themed around the various Shonen Jump worlds. Expect to see locations from Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and many more classic Shonen Jump franchises.

The full playable roster is unknown but early rumors point to fan favorites like Goku, Naruto, Luffy, Ichigo, Deku, Tanjiro, and Yugi leading a diverse cast. With so many iconic Shonen Jump characters to choose from, the roster has tons of potential for DLC additions post-launch as well.
What makes Jump Cross Burst stand out from other platform fighters is Ganbarion’s focus on anime-inspired aerial combat. Characters will have abilities that allow them to hover, boost, and battle it out in mid-air. This should lead to intense and flashy battles as players fight to ring out their opponents.
Jump Cross Burst is an ambitious crossover celebrating Shonen Jump’s long history and most beloved series. Ganbarion is an experienced developer in anime games like One Piece World Seeker. Combined with Bandai Namco’s fighting game expertise, Jump Cross Burst could establish a new challenger in the platform fighter scene when it releases in, hopefully, 2025.

Then what’s Arc System making for Bandai if not this? Can you try finding that out please they’ve been working on something for like 5 years now.
Tubg says
I think this is false Ultimax was also leaked through 4Chan my bet ArcSys is making a Jump crossover game since they’ve had something in the oven for a while

The same “leaker” also says Jump Ultimax is still being made but delayed to 2029 so it’s probably false. My guess is there is no game or Arc System is making the game since they have something in the works based on a Shonen Jump property for Bandai Namco. Last year was Shonen Jump’s 55th anniversary so waiting any longer would be strange for a game, normally these crossover games are made for the anniversary years. If they do I’m curious what took this game so long?
