Persona 3 Reload Localizer LIED, CHANGES Dialogue For Western Release!

Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is coming out in just a few weeks, but it’s probably best that you save your money this time. As covered previously there have been aggressive and pervasive attempts to censor and outright change scenes in order to make it “culturally appropriate” for Western audiences. And unfortunately, Persona 3 Reload is the latest game to be digitally colonized by the rainbow cult.

In the original game, a comedic scene is supposed to play out where the characters are at the beach when a woman known as ‘Beautiful Lady’ approaches them and propositions the group. Junpei, more of a comedic character, jumps at the chance only for the woman to ask if the main character and another want to join. Before it can go any further their female classmate notices that the ‘Beautiful Lady’ has stubble on her chin.

It’s then that the name of the woman changes to ‘Beautiful Lady?’ as the group freaks out and runs away while Junpei screams “She’s a He!”. That’s the scene. They don’t attempt to attack this person, they don’t scream out slurs or harass them either. Even though the ‘Beautiful Lady?’ was attempting to deceive all three into a sexual encounter.

This same scene was not altered for the release of Persona 3 Portable which was released earlier this year, but this scene was changed for the upcoming release of Persona 3 Reload, according to a new article by Kotaku.

I actually just finished this scene right before I saw this tweet. This is what it’s changed to. She asks them to put sunscreen on her then says this. pic.twitter.com/qTqvcMyQeM

The dreaded Localizer strikes!

In a tweet by X User @MKUltraMoney the changed conversation seems to remove any indication that this character is trans at all. Instead, they’ve seemingly changed this to an actual female character who is an actual mental case spouting crazy nonsense. While so far this is the only change that we know of, it’s safe to say that Western localizers have infested this game and anything that was likely ‘iffy’ to the progressive mindset is now gone.

In a now-deleted tweet infamous localizer Katrina Leonoudakis who we previously covered as just ‘Katrina’ was openly mocking people critical of her localizations and openly stating that they made no changes beyond some translation errors from the original. Katrina went on the imply people weren’t complaining about her ‘woke localizations’ because they actually liked P3, but for some other ‘nefarious’ reason.

As shown in nearly all situations in which Western localizers make arbitrary changes to suit their own ideals, Katrina was just being dishonest. And Persona 3 Reload is another sacrifice to the rainbow cult.

Are you a Persona fan? How do you feel about this latest victim to woke localization? Leave a comment!

I see this one as a win. I’d much rather play this localized version of the game.
