Doctor Who has been embroiled in controversy since the 60th Anniversary specials brought David Tennant back into the forefront with three bizarre episodes putting transgender and race replacements center into the show that used to be about science fiction fun. While the ratings have been the lowest ever for the show for its specials, David Tennant has taken to the BAFTA Awards to deliver his extremist political screeds as an opening monologue attacking President Donald Trump.
One would think David Tennant would understand the need for entertainment to remain entertaining given how poorly his recent return to the role of The Doctor in Doctor Who was received by fans. Even the fan-favorite of the modern era couldn’t bring a performance that got fans back after Jody Whittaker’s travesty of a run as the gender-swapped character.
Moreover, the Tennants have been victims of leftist brigading online since David Tennant’s wife was bullied off X by pro-Palestine extremists who couldn’t handle her having opinions that didn’t involve wiping Israel off the map. However, leftists never seem to learn anything when faced with the very woke mobs they unleashed.

David Tennant opened his BAFTA Awards speech by virtuously highlighting popular stars like Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr., wearing a gaudy outfit while not seeming to have much of a point to his speaking.
He went on to transition his BAFTA Awards Speech to talk about Emily Brunt’s creepy sexual grooming movie, Poor Things, which is where he decided to put President Donald Trump on blast.
“Poor Things, where a child’s brain is put in an adult’s body,” David Tennant said. “And later this year, one of those may be reelected president.”

The mostly Hollywood gala politely laughed at the cringy political joke. It seems that these actors can’t help themselves but talk down to audiences who, as David Tennant points out, are around fifty percent likely to vote for Donald Trump.
As 2024’s box office starts to reach new lows for the film industry, one can’t help but wonder when actors like David Tennant might realize their cynical and patronizing statements on politics turn off the people they want as viewers.
David Tennant also spoke at the BAFTA Awards about the film Wonka, one of the few decent joys of 2023 film, quipping lightly on the chocolate-themed film saying, “I think Wonka gave us all a Boost,” Tennant quipped, receiving laughter from the audience. “And a Twix, and a Crunchy and an Aero. You might need to explain that to some of our American friends. It’s about the name of chocolate bars, like Hershey’s but they taste nicer.”
Those jokes seem more appropriate than lambasting half of one’s potential audience over politics in a BAFTA Awards speech.
Doctor Who’s showrunners and actors have promised the show will be moving in a radical left direction as well over this next season. While David Tennant indicated earlier this week he might be done with the character, Ncuti Gatwa confirmed the show would focus on left-wing politics, while companion actress Millie Gibson said it would be “controversial.”
All of these actors seem to want to insult their fans, and as few care about the BAFTA Awards and even fewer care about modern Doctor Who, maybe soon celebrities like David Tennant will find they have no jobs paid for by those they despise.

Award Shows are such Chutzpah, the only reason why Dave did this is to virtue signal.
