Yesterday, Rippaverse, in conjunction with Eric July, launched a new art book of Joe Bennett filled with pencils and concepts from the legendary Immortal Hulk artist with never-before-seen art from his and Chuck Dixon’s Alphacore graphic novel. The book is titled Joe Bennet: The Art of Alphacore #1 and is on sale for $30.
Alphacore #1 hit the $1.2 Million mark in sales, marking another great milestone for Rippaverse Comics in the first graphic novel that wasn’t penned by Eric July proper. With positive reviews coming in from comic book circles, fans are loving what comic legends Chuck Dixon and Joe Bennett have to offer to this world.
The Alphacore campaign launched in early November with a retooled website for the Rippaverse, complete with an online waiting room, so it didn’t overload the site with traffic as the Isom campaigns did. This created a smoother experience and kept the website up during critical opening hours for backers to come in and complete their purchases. Eric July also promised a full retool of the Rippaverse website coming soon.

The Art of Joe Bennett: Alphacore #1 marks the first time Rippaverse is launching a new product without a campaign attached. This book has no variant covers, swag, or merch associated with it, but is simply being sold on the merits of the art itself as an exclusive collectible item for Joe Bennett fans.
The description on the website gives some information on the Joe Bennett Alphacore art book:
- Bagged & Boarded 36-page book
- Personally selected penciled pages by Joe Bennett
- Collectible with metallic-styled cover
- Only 2,000 (collectible version) will be printed.
- Estimated fulfillment start date 3/18/2024
This offering from Rippaverse is akin to sourcebooks and art books, which have been produced by popular publishers for decades, adding depth to the content of Eric July’s Rippaverse as a comic book and entertainment company.

Eric July live-streamed to promote the launch of the product, stating that he hopes to get to the point where Rippaverse can launch products on the regular without doing campaign-style events, citing how he wants to compete with mainstream comics by putting out a book, shipping, and moving on to the next one to grow the company’s offerings. He hinted at a potential goal of twenty-four such offerings per year, which would put Rippaverse in a revenue position around several of the larger mainstream publishers.
Joe Bennett’s art has been a fan-favorite for years, and having an Alphacore art book is a great new addition to the Rippaverse line as a limited collectible book.
