It is no understatement to say that author J.K. Rowling receives more than her fair share of harassment and abuse online. Radical transgender activists, who are angry over her biologically accurate views, have spent years spewing their venomous rhetoric at her in an attempt to make her bend the knee, if not cancel her outright. The latest cancellation attempt has come from the Twitter/X account of a Harry Potter enthusiast known as Wizarding News, who is now embroiled in a potential legal controversy with the 58-year-old author.

In a series of posts on Twitter/X, the Wizarding News account shared the Instagram photos of a woman who shares the first and last name of J.K. Rowling’s daughter, Jessica Arantes. The Instagram account belongs to a woman who lives in Portugal, where J.K. Rowling previously resided. What makes this situation even more troublesome is that the woman on Instagram has a child, who Wizarding News tried to claim is the estranged granddaughter of the Harry Potter author.
J.K. Rowling obviously took this doxxing attempt quite seriously, calling out the Wizarding News account on Twitter/X. Despite being blocked by the Harry Potter fan account, Rowling took to Twitter to share screenshots and to reply directly to this incendiary and reprehensible behavior.

“This is not a joke,” J.K. Rowling tweeted out on Monday. “The baby and its mother have no connection with me, @wizardingnews. That isn’t my daughter. Your vendetta against me is causing collateral damage to innocent people. If legal action is the only way to protect them, I will take it.”
The Harry Potter author would further emphasize the extent to which Wizarding News erred. “@wizardingnews I’ve done everything I can to keep my children out of the public eye,” J.K. Rowling tweeted. “My eldest daughter doesn’t owe you or anyone else details of her private life. However, for the avoidance of doubt:
- Contrary to your claims, we are very close, and last talked an hour ago. We discussed your posts, which have angered and distressed her.
- Contrary to your claims, she doesn’t live in Portugal.
- Contrary to your claims, she has no children.
- The young mother whose photograph and personal details you published is not my daughter and has no relation to me whatsoever.”

“You’ve published easily disproven and damaging falsehoods,” J.K. Rowling stated. “Should we go to legal proceedings, you will need to show why, in spite of being told the truth, you neither retracted nor apologized. In the absence of any such retraction and apology, the next communication you receive will be from my lawyer.”
The Harry Potter author has since doubled down on her intent to pursue legal action against Wizarding News, and it honestly can’t happen soon enough. J.K. Rowling has been slandered and threatened by rabid Harry Potter fans for years, many of whom have wished her harm or even death. Despite these attempts to silence her, she has remained vigilant and continues to advocate for the safety of women against these tyrannical sycophants.

They won’t stop until J.K. Rowling (who isn’t even a right-winger by the way) is literally assassinated/murdered. That is how EVIL the anti-J.K. Rowling campaign had become.
