The self appointed “toxicity” commissars, Melanin Gamers & The Watch, are DEI grifters just like Sweet Baby Inc.
Melanin Gamers announced on X that they and The Watch have created a “toxicity rating” system for games: “The World’s first-ever rating system to identify toxicity in online gaming. Melanin Gamers & @HelpKeepWatch have launched the First Rating System Identifying Online Gaming Toxicity. Please check out the rating system for yourself here.” Melanin Gamers and The Watch are two more entities riding the DEI gravy train with Sweet Baby Inc.

Melanin Gamer’s “About Us” page reads: “Melanin Gamers is dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion in the video games industry. It is more than a gaming community it is a show of support, a cry for some desperately needed change and as a safe space, an online and in real life community for people of colour to come together, share ideas and feel represented. We want to be seen and heard. It is a necessity in the current climate we are living in and we believe that by creating this platform we will be able to strive towards changing an industry so that it reflects all those who are part of it. We are not calling for needless tokenism but a real shift in the tide, from the grassroots to the very top.”

The Sweet Baby Inc.-like grift includes Melanin Gamers D&I Consultancy: “As part of our mission, we have created a brand new D&I Consultancy. With this new branch of our business, we hope to help organisations where everyone feels represented and can thrive.”
The “services” include a Servicing Assessment: “We will conduct a thorough evaluation of your existing policies, practices, and community engagement strategies,” and a Customised Roadmap: “Based on the assessment findings, we will develop a personalised road-map that outlines actionable steps to enhance diversity and inclusion within your gaming company.”

Now self appointed toxicity commissars Melanin Gamers & The Watch have created a “toxicity rating” for different gaming communities. The Watch web page claims that it is: “The world’s first rating system monitoring racism, gender discrimination and the overall toxicity in online gaming communities,” and that: “Each rating was created by surveying hundreds of gamers. And represents the average amount of racism, gender discrimination, violence towards others, crude humour and controlled substance conversation experienced while playing online.”

According to The Watch the Call Of Duty gaming community is rated as 78% toxic with the following rating for each category: Racism: 75% Gender discrimination: 67% Direct violent threats: 90% Sexual content: 74% Crude humour: 79% Controlled substances conversation: 82%
With only “hundreds of gamers” surveyed this is of course nowhere near a representative sample of the Call Of Duty gaming community, and to probably an eschewed result anyway, since it is likely that the majority of those surveyed are their followers, i.e. the perpetually offended.
Let us know in the comments what you think about The Watch and Melanin Gamers joining Sweet Baby Inc on the DEI gravy train.

Only 75% racist? Rookie numbers!
Tony says
Melanin Gamers are basically a bunch of evil Critical Race Theorists.
Chuck Jose says
Another group of CRT Grifters. Of course.
BB Shelbie says
Ironically, the entire effort is backfiring.
Gamers are like that. The ‘warnings’ about Grand Theft Auto 3 were actually the greatest advertisement. ‘Toxicity rating’ will be much the same, only appealing to those that would normally avoid highly fun games, or being used as a ‘must purchase’ list for social misfits…meaning 95% of all ‘real’ gamers.
