Back in May of 2023, Blowfish Studios announced their partnership with DMG Entertainment and Valiant Entertainment with the newest Shadowman video. Shadowman: Darque Legacy will follow Jack Boniface as Shadowman in an original setting separate from the comic universe. On May 4th, 2023, Blowfish released its first official trailer on X (formerly Twitter). Further announcements revealed Shadowman: Darque Legacy will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox 1, Epic Games, and Steam. This is the first video game released since the brand reboot of Valiant in 2012.

When the announcement was made, there was no date mentioned but a vague ‘ in 2024’ mention. Fans are getting closer to an official release date as Blowfish has now stated a Q4 release. For the sake of clarity, Q4 or 4th Quarter means the dates of the year. Q4 dates range from October 1st to December 31st. One would find it hard to imagine fans would be thrilled to have the horror game by Halloween. Let us hold on to hope.
Valiant Comics was founded by comic editor Jim Shooter and partner Steven Massarky with Voyager Communications in 1989. By the late 1990s, Valiant was acquired by Acclaim Studios after the success of Turok and the odd-couple pairing of Marvel’s Iron Man in Iron Man and X-O Manowar: Heavy Metal. Valiant Comics would then be rebranded to Acclaim Comics until its quiet end in 2001. While Acclaim was the parent company, they created 5 Turok titles, 2 Shadowman titles, and 1 Armorines.
In recent years, Nightdive Studios won the hearts of Valiant fans and gamers alike with their remastering of the Turok series and the first Shadowman video game. The remasters are highly rated by fans across the various platforms. Several of the remasters also received physical reprints with the help of Limited Run games.

I really hope this is a good game. I loved the Valiant era of the 2012 reboot so I hope it pulls more from those comics. Can’t wait to play in the Deadside.
Tony says
Probably won’t be my guess it gets delayed or cancelled

Can you guys do some digging on the Elric video game that was announced a few years ago also set for 2024 release but nothing has been shown
Ciampa says
Where’s the gameplay? What’s this studios background and how much money do they have? Valiant itself is a mess I hope Jim Shooter buys it back and runs it his way. Ike Perlmutter could be another good choice.
