Today, publisher Cirsova has launched a new project in conjugation with indie author JD Cowan on a new collection of stories. The project is entitled Star Wanderers, and stars an intergalactic cop and space knight as they bring peace to the galaxy.
This is the first team-up between the modern magazine juggernaut and the author of the Pulp Mindset, featuring stories that have been published in Cirsova magazine itself, Storyhack, and the Planetary Anthologies, as well as brand new tales never before published. These are stories of swords, bullets, sorcery, and action, of the like not found on the shelves of modern book stores.

Cirsova is well known in adventure circles for publishing stories of thrilling adventure and daring suspense (it’s even in the title!) and this project promises to be no different.
The description of Star Wanderers from the campaign page:
“Detective Ronan Renfield is a Galactic Enforcer sworn to protect the innocent and bring evil-doers to justice to maintain order throughout the stars.
“The Agent is a nameless knight errant tasked with hunting the most brazenly wicked and blasphemous who threaten order and nature across the cosmos.
“Alone, they face strange and diabolical horrors on backwater worlds and the corrupt and dangerous criminals who threaten civilization.
“Together, they are the Star Wanderers!
“This collection features eight thrilling tales of raygun adventure, swashbuckling sword fights, and cyberpunk mystery, including four never-before published adventures!

The campaign also features a special soundtrack single composed by Iron Age and 365 Infantry creator Jacob Calta. The cover art for the book was drawn by Anton Oxenuk, an artist for Cirsova magazine and the Mongoose & Meerkat series.
Four formats will be offered for backers including eBook, paperback, hardcover, and the rare physical edition of pocket paperback. The pocket paperback is reminiscent of pulp-era books that used to be found on spinner racks in gas stations and grocery stores decades ago, as is the intended spirit of the new wave of adventure books.
The campaign starts today and is planned to run exactly a full month from the date of April 23rd. The project goal is set for $2500 for production costs.
