Shigeru Miyamoto, known as the creator of the Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and The Legend of Zelda series, currently serves as Nintendo’s Representative Director and Creative Fellow. The legendary Nintendo game designer may be in hot water with the Nintendo executives after his IMDb page apparently leaked confidential plans for future Nintendo Switch games and movies.
Miyamoto’s IMDb page contains intriguing listings of several unannounced Nintendo Switch games in development, including a Donkey Kong game remake. Nintendo is reportedly assessing whether to remake Donkey Kong Jungle Beat or Donkey Kong Barrel Blast from the Wii era for the red-hot Switch platform.

In addition to a possible Donkey Kong remake, Miyamoto’s IMDb page hints at a new Star Fox racing game for the Nintendo Switch. Alongside a new Star Fox, Miyamoto is also apparently working on Luigi’s Mansion 4, suggesting the Mario brother is getting another ghost-busting adventure.

Beyond games, Miyamoto’s page also confirms his role as Executive Producer on the upcoming Super Mario Bros movie sequel. This follows his involvement in the first Mario film, which grossed over $370 million worldwide. Most surprisingly, it states Miyamoto will have the same role on a Legend of Zelda film adaptation. Rumors of a Zelda movie have persisted for years, but this leak suggests Nintendo is finally ready to bring Link to the big screen.
While the gaming community is thrilled at the prospect of new Donkey Kong and Star Fox games for the Switch, Nintendo has not confirmed the legitimacy of the leaked listings on Miyamoto’s IMDb page.
Still, with the Nintendo Switch entering a pivotal year on sale, intrigue surrounds what major franchises Nintendo has in development. Miyamoto’s IMDb page suggests new entries in classic series like Donkey Kong and Star Fox could arrive on Switch or possibly Switch 2 in coming years.
Helmed by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto who defined Nintendo game design for decades, these titles would no doubt drive enthusiasm amongst the Nintendo fanbase.
