Games Workshop has been at the forefront of incredible controversies over the last two weeks after unveiling female Adeptus Custodes in Warhammer 40K. The situation quickly spiraled as their stock prices dropped, fronted by their CFO dumping a large portion of her stock. Fans of the game have been wondering what would be next in the entertainment company’s descent into hard-left politics, and now it appears the answer is attacking political commentator Carl Benjamin, a.k.a. Sargon of Akkad.
Warhammer 40K has been a bastion of gaming away from the culture wars where many gamers thought it would be safe. This is despite Games Workshop being owned in large part by funds Black Rock and Vanguard, which have been pushing D.E.I. and E.S.G. across various entertainment platforms for years. There have been warning signs that the company would go this direction and become anti-gamer, but the inherent nature of the setting of Warhammer seemed like it would be difficult for them to budge.
This all changed when the official Warhammer account unveiled gender changes in the Adeptus custodes, which have always been men. They followed up gaslighting their concerned fans by saying it had always been that way, which was clearly not the case according to the decades of lore for the game.

Fans became outraged, and Games Workshop responded by blocking anyone criticizing the move on Twitter and Facebook. Even the mods of the official Reddit silenced the fans. This created an outcry and call for boycotts of the company.
Now, a fan account revealed that Warhammer is hiring extreme leftist propagandists to insert pronouns and other nonsense into the lore via the Black Library novels. It gets even stranger, as one of the more recent novels appears to have included Sargon of Akkad as a parody character.
X user @chainsword40K broke the story showing author Mike Brooks virtue signaling to the pronoun brigade with his fiction and by posting different pride-flag themed painted miniatures. On top of it, he has a character in one of his books called Sarkan Aggad, who appears to be a shot at Sargon of Akkad, Carl Benjamin.

The Sargon of Akkad parody is described as “bellowing with rage,” showing Mike Brooks’ disdain for the political commentator.
Carl Benjamin appeared amused by the situation, commenting when he saw the parody saying, “I am officially canon in the Warhammer universe.”
He followed up by saying, “If anyone can supply a proper description of this character, I am happy to make him and paint him,” as well as, “What a cool description.”
The woke always have problems with being passive aggressive in their attacks, and often when they seethe about their perceived enemies in fiction or other places, they end up making something like this Warhammer character which makes Sargon of Akkad look far cooler than he would have otherwise.
It’s another failure for Games Workshop as fans continue to leave the property for alternatives, sick of these products ruining their fantasy and sci-fi fiction with corporate extremist ideologies.
