Former Tor Books Author Patrick S. Tomlinson is no stranger to frivolous lawsuits. He has been embattled with a situation where he was suing an anonymous owner of the online OnA Forums over what he calls “criminal cyberstalking.” During this, he also attempted to file a restraining order on a man on the internet who goes by Somerville Dan, all because people mock him online for his over the top behavior. Now, Patrick S. Tomlinson is suing the City of Milwaukee in another bizarre suit.
Patrick S. Tomlinson committed a cardinal sin on the internet several years ago when he stated that he did not find comedian Norm Macdonald funny. This is objectively false, as Norm Macdonald was very funny, and any criticism and mockery coming from that is well deserved. However, Tomlinson can’t let his internet grudges go.
He’s known for spamming the same rants on Twitter / X about “stalkers,” often threatening to send his critics to jail even though he has no power to do so.
“This is why your life is already over, stalker. Enjoy prison,” Patrick S. Tomlinson tweeted at least half a dozen times today as of this article’s writing.
He’s already failed in two court attempts: with the lawsuit against the OnA forum owner, in which he was ordered to pay attorneys fees for the frivolous lawsuit, and in attempting to get a restraining order on who’s referred to as “Big Dick Andrew” as the judge found his claim ludicrous.
Now, he’s suing the City of Milwaukee because of alleged swattings. The suit says:
- Niki Robinson and Patrick Tomlinson are the targets of a vicious campaign of domestic terrorism, carried out at the hands of a group of bullies who hide behind the anonymity of the internet.
- The bullies’ main weapon of choice is something called “swatting,” which is when someone who wants to endanger the life and safety of another calls 911 and lies to provoke a dangerous police response to the victim’s home…

- Niki and Patrick live in a constant state of fear, worried that the next encounter they have with the police will be their last.
- Every knock on the door or police car that drives by leaves them terrified that they are about to be staring down an officer’s gun or that they will be paraded outside in handcuffs to their further humiliation.
- This lawsuit seeks to end the madness and vindicate the violation of Plaintiffs’ constitutional rights. It seeks to effect change through punitive damages by punishing the Defendants for their egregious conduct with the hope that the punishment is significant enough to prevent this from happening again in the future…
Rumors online swirl that Patrick S. Tomlinson has been swatting himself for media attention, and he recently did a media tour last year in order to cry, though it didn’t result in much traction being gained for his failed writing career.

Here is the thing about Pat, he has a long history on Twitter of antagonizing and threatening people. This occurred well before he came on to the radar of OnA fans. There are multiple saved Twitter screenshots where Pat is threatening others with his guns, physical violence and even screenshots where he makes grotesque rape “jokes” aimed at his perceived enemies. Pat is a disturbed guy. In 2011, he was arrested by the Portage PD for threatening to kill his wife, unborn child and an adult male. His own sister in law told the PD because she was terrified. Pat was charged and eventually took a plea. As for the Swatters, not at all likely they are OnA affiliated. In fact there is some evidence Pat may have Swatted himself.
