Yoshimi Yasuda, president of Dragami Games, has announced that the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will include a total of 30 costumes, featuring both original and new designs. The game will also introduce four new hair colours and four new chainsaws, resulting in over 480 possible costume variations. Previously an option for automated quick time events has been confirmed, and Yoshimi Yasuda has also confirmed that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will retain the original voice cast, with Japanese voice options available globally, when he teased the return of the legendary zombie hunter. Obviously aware of the Stellar Blade Eve censorship fiasco, Yoshimi Yasuda this week confirmed that the developers of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP feels the same way as gamers about censorship. She’s hot, she’s blonde, she’s white and her name is Juliet Starling, the game’s sizzling protagonist. But will Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP’s Juliet Starling be too hot to handle for Kotaku and IGN, and consequently for Sony?
Yoshimi Yasuda president of Dragami Games which are the developers of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP announced on X: “RePOP will include a total of 30 costumes, including original versions and new costumes. With the addition of four new hair colors and four new chainsaws, RePOP will offer 480 costume variations.”

The announcement immediately raised concerns with fan about whether the game will be censored like Stellar Blade’s Eve. X user Rioan asked: “But will it get a “day 1 patch”?”
Another X user, Jack E Walker went further and said: “Ill just wait until its release and see how much of a faithful remaster it is, any form of censorship whatsoever and Im not gonna even bother, I still have the original if I really want to replay it.”
These are only two of many fans who are concerned that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be censored like Stellar Blade’s Eve was censored. Yoshimi Yasuda, obviously cognisant of the fiasco caused by censoring Stellar Blade’s Eve, took to X to allay their fears and posted: “We, the original staff, feel the same way about censorship as you do. #LOLLIPOPCHAINSAWRePOP #RePOP”
Which is pretty based by Yoshimi Yasuda, however, whether that means that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will uncensored on Sony is unclear. This statement makes it clear that the original staff developing Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP opposes censorship, but Yoshimi Yasuda statement does not make it clear that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will remain uncensored by Sony.
Let us know in the whether you think Sony will censor Yoshimi Yasuda’s Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP like they did with Stellar Blade’s Eve.
