At risk of sounding a little strange, I was given a dream last night in which the clear message of it is that the Lord is telling his people (including myself) he has not been receiving adequate praise and we should be working harder on this front.
It makes sense. The last year has been a media-induced mass hysteria with claims the world is horrible. Between the secular media and government inciting riots and creating virus hysteria, it’s also made for lockdowns where people can’t go to church and therefore praise has been cut off from regular routines.
It’s clear we are commanded multiple times to be praising him regularly:
“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.” – 1 Chron 16: 9.
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” – Romans 12:1
We must praise him. It’s a command. He has given us life and breath and that alone is more than enough to where we should be grateful.

My wife & I lead worship at church, and I’ve noticed that it’s become _much_ more powerful emotionally over the last few months. Weirdly so.
You may be onto something there.
